Job Summary:
Seeking a seasoned Project Manager with construction management expertise to lead a large-scale renovation project within an active pharmaceutical production facility. This role involves navigating complex infrastructure upgrades and facility improvements in a tightly regulated, high-stakes environment—while keeping operations running.

The scope includes critical utility modifications, production area separation, and facility layout changes—all executed without interrupting ongoing GMP manufacturing. With a total capital investment of approximately $30 million, this individual will serve as the driving force behind coordination efforts among internal teams, external engineering groups, and construction partners to deliver results on time and within budget.

Job Duties:
  • Direct and manage construction activities and facility upgrades within a functioning pharmaceutical environment governed by GMP protocols.
  • Plan and execute work schedules around active manufacturing, including off-hour shifts and limited-access windows.
  • Hold contractors and design consultants accountable for performance, quality standards, and schedule adherence.
  • Work in tandem with procurement and planning teams to adjust material orders and lead times based on evolving project needs.
  • Monitor project costs, flag variances early, and provide accurate financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the bridge between construction, plant leadership, quality, and compliance teams, ensuring strong alignment.
  • Guarantee all modifications meet applicable regulatory and code requirements, including FDA and GMP standards.
  • Strategically plan system transitions and facility upgrades to minimize disruption and downtime.
  • Offer input on scheduling realities and help shape project scope based on operational limitations and capacity.
  • Foster a proactive, adaptable project environment with clear communication and a sense of urgency.

Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of project or construction management experience in regulated industries—preferably in pharma or biotech environments.
  • Proven history of executing complex upgrades in live operational settings with limited flexibility.
  • Strong background in coordinating across technical disciplines and managing third-party engineering partners.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional settings involving manufacturing, quality, engineering, and procurement.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups.

Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
