Facilities Engineer
Job Description
Shift: 1st Shift
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $100-135k per year
- Plan, design, and oversee facility improvement, renovation, and infrastructure projects
- Develop layouts and engineering drawings using AutoCAD
- Coordinate with outside architecture and engineering firms on project design and execution
- Prepare project specifications, bid packages, and construction contracts
- Manage facility upgrades involving building systems, utilities, and manufacturing infrastructure
- Oversee contractors and construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, schedules, and quality standards
- Inspect construction and installation progress to verify work meets project requirements
- Support maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives for facility equipment and systems
- Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, fire codes, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve facility performance and reliability
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Must have experience using AutoCAD for facility layouts and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of commercial building systems, construction practices, and applicable building and fire codes
- Experience supporting facility infrastructure projects within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with large chilled water systems and commercial HVAC systems
- Five or more years of Facilities or Electrical Engineering experience
- Experience with Siemens Building Automation or Building Management Systems (BMS)
