Job Description
Title: Fabrication Technician/General Fabricator
Location: Souderton, PA
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Shift : 1st Shift - Monday - Friday
Compensation: $20-23/hr

Job Duties:
- Perform saw cutting operations using band saws, cold saws, or abrasive saws to cut metal stock to specified dimensions.
- Conduct grinding operations to remove burrs, sharp edges, weld spatter, and excess material using hand and stationary grinders.
- Execute weld cleaning and finishing, including grinding, sanding, and surface preparation to meet visual and quality requirements.
- Prepare materials and components for welding, assembly, or downstream fabrication processes.
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, work orders, and job instructions.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and acceptable surface finish.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and shop standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe operation of fabrication equipment.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns to supervision.
- Support general shop activities as needed to meet production schedules.
Qualifications:
Experience with metal fabrication in a shop or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Grinding techniques (hand grinders, bench grinders)
- Saw cutting (band saw, cold saw, abrasive saw)
- Weld cleaning and finishing processes
- Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- Basic understanding of metal types (steel, stainless steel, aluminum preferred).
