Job Title: Extrusion Operator (Day Shift)
Location: Vernon Hills, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire, Onsite
Target Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00/hour
Benefits: PTO, Holidays, Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401(k)
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (2-2-3 rotating schedule)

Job Summary:
As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting extrusion equipment to ensure the consistent production of high-quality film or product. This role plays a key part in maintaining safety, efficiency, and product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 
Job Duties:
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Operate and monitor extrusion machines and related equipment
  • Perform setups and die head changes on extrusion lines
  • Adjust settings such as pressure, speed, tension, and heat
  • Monitor product dimensions and quality throughout production
  • Remove finished rolls, inspect for defects, and conduct quality checks
  • Maintain accurate production records
  • Perform basic maintenance and assist with preventative maintenance
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Report defective material or equipment issues to supervisors
 
Qualifications:
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience (required)
  • Extrusion knowledge/experience (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
  • Ability to read a ruler and perform basic math
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as needed.
