Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Environmental, Health, and Safety program in an FDA regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:
  • Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks, and develop appropriate corrective-action plans to address deficiencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and programs.
  • Manage Workers’ Compensation issues.
  • Prepare, update, and provide training for Safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage reporting requirements for waste management.
  • Regularly perform safety walk-throughs to proactively identify and correct potential safety issues.
  • Plan, develop, and manage site procedures for adhering to local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
  • Conduct job hazard analysis and exposure assessments to identify occupational health hazards.
  • Manage EHS audits by outside regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Sciences (or related technical discipline).
  • 5 years of professional experience developing and implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs within a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and requirements (EPA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and ability to demonstrate effective interaction with regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledgeable in the technical fundamentals of safety management and risk assessments and reduction, including machinery safety, ergonomics, and occupational health.
