Job Description
- Support and oversee daily assembly line operations to ensure smooth workflow, high quality, and on-time delivery.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve problems quickly.
- Monitor and improve assembly processes for efficiency, ergonomics, and consistency.
- Train and support operators and team leads on standard work and best practices.
- Assist with documenting and updating work instructions, assembly procedures, and quality checklists.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using lean manufacturing principles.
- Collect and analyze production and quality data to identify trends and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to support product launches, line changes, and tooling updates.
- Use basic CAD tools to review or suggest updates to assembly layouts and fixtures (CAD proficiency a plus, not required).
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) welcome, especially early-career candidates open to 100% shop floor work.
- Prior experience in mechanical assembly, quality assurance, or production leadership strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with hands-on problem-solving responsibilities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator and team player.
- Comfortable working on the shop floor
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles a plus.
- Basic CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus but not required.
