Title: Engineering Technical Writer/Standards Coordinator
 
Location: La Grange, IL - Hybrid - 3 days in office

Overview: Sterling Engineering / Staffing is currently looking for an Engineering Technical Writer/Standards Coordinator for one of our clients in the La Grange, IL area. Sterling has a rich history of delivering top talent to our clients. We are a nationwide Staffing Firm with over 100 clients and works primarily with Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
Job Description:
Edit work products (reports), manage external standards list.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documentations
  • Copyedit content developed by members of the engineering team
  • Develop and maintain templates for written documentation ensuring a consistent “look and feel”
  • Create and maintain forms and templates for the team
  • Must demonstrate superior writing, editing and communication skills
  • Manage external standards database and provide notification to impact groups of changes
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
  • Knowledge and expertise in standard Microsoft applications
  • Med/High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • High degree of organizational and communication skills
Preferred:
  • College degree
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
