Lead a dynamic engineering team responsible for product design, integrity, and innovation in the industrial equipment sector. This role offers the opportunity to drive technical excellence, mentor talented engineers, and shape the future of heavy-duty mechanical and electrical systems. Make an impact by managing complex projects while developing and implementing engineering best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of mechanical and electrical engineers, designers, and checkers
- Review and approve technical designs, performing stress calculations and engineering analysis
- Lead product integrity initiatives and drive resolution of engineering challenges
- Oversee new product development and special design projects
- Direct engineering process improvements and standardization efforts
- Provide technical guidance for electrical engineering and controls systems
- Interface with customers on technical matters and project requirements
- Conduct performance management and develop training plans for engineering staff
- Chair engineering change order meetings and product integrity reviews
- Supervise the modernization of legacy drawings to current CAD standards
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety requirements
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining departmental efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- 6+ years of progressive engineering experience
- 3+ years managing an engineering department
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA analysis tools
- Proven experience developing engineering processes and standards
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of rigging/crane industry preferred
Salary: $120,000-$145,000
