This position is responsible for managing key client natural gas projects, interacting with existing clients to organically grow the project base, and engaging new and potential clients to increase client base.
Discipline managers will act as the key internal and external contact for natural gas projects and program work of varying sizes. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, within scope and according to company and client’s quality and technical expectations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
· Perform resource risk management
· Review projects to ensure quality, accuracy, technical precision and compliance with company and client standards
· Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
· Coordinate resource allocation, efficiency and performance with Project Management Office
· Assist marketing team with bid proposals and pricing
· Engage project team to identify responsibilities, scope and schedule for each team member based on individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
· Track team performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
· Meet department budgetary objectives and make adjustments to meet department goals
· Provide regular performance feedback to develop, coach, and mentor team members
· Use and continually develop leadership skills
· Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
· Be innovative and forward thinking to drive change, quality and efficiency within the company
· Identify opportunities for team training and create training modules as needed
· Leverage relationships for the purpose of recruiting top talent, engaging new clients, and seeking innovative solutions
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering or a related field
· Professional Engineer license or currently in the process of obtaining licensure · Strong technical knowledge of Natural Gas Design and related Codes
· Consulting background and knowledge of consulting practices and KPIs
· Entrepreneur’s mindset, the drive to get it done at all costs, and desire to be innovative and creative
· Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, self-driven and a desire to work in a production environment is extremely important
