Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing and supervising all departments within the engineering sector of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.  
 
Job Duties:
  • Oversee multiple engineering departments.
  • Plan and implement engineering functions, including reliability standards, mechanical systems, and electronic components.
  • Ensure health and safety in all processes.
  • Develop and maintain the Engineering Change System.
  • Manage the Plant's current and future footprints.
  • Establish preventative maintenance standards and schedules.
  • Update drawings and specifications for equipment.
  • Implement cost-effective upgrades to equipment and facilities.
  • Manage Lean Manufacturing methodology.
  • Recommend and initiate equipment modifications.
  • Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental programs.
  • Stay updated on control technology and safe practices.
  • Manage equipment in various laboratories.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for design functionality.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel.
  • Provide guidance within company policies and recommend policy changes.
  • Interact with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Lead team efforts.
  • Coordinate Engineering department activities, including cost, methods, and staffing.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA and EU regulations.
  • Track and complete routine and non-routine activities.
  • Perform GAP analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Handle technical problem-solving and manage multiple priorities.
  • Manage engineering projects from design to qualification.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of department management and supervisory experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.
