Location:  North Chicago, IL
Hire Type:  Onsite, Long-term contract (may convert to direct-hire)
Target Pay Range:  $35.00 - $40.00/hour (W2, with full employee benefits)

Job Summary:
The Facility CAD Designer will provide design support using AutoCAD for facility infrastructure design support, bid packages, and drawing control for pharmaceutical manufacturing facility design projects.

Job Duties:
  • Gather requirements and work with engineers to produce CAD drawings for facility piping, HVAC, electrical distribution, and related MEP systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to create designs, bid packages, construction, and as-built drawing documentation.
  • Receive, review, and adjust as-built AutoCAD designs, as needed.
  • Check design data into the drawing management system.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent 2D AutoCAD skills (merging, Xref, drawing standards etc.).
  • Experience with facility as-built and markups to reflect existing conditions and transfer to AutoCAD.
  • Prior experience working as a CAD Designer for an Architectural/Engineering (A&E) firm is a strong plus.
