Job Summary:
- The Electronic Designer will aid in the design & development of custom eelctronic and electro-mechanical products.
Job Duties:
- Create detailed drawings, circuit designs, and PCB layouts based on customer sketches, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
- Develop comprehensive Bills of Material (BOM) that include all necessary components for the circuit design.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to provide technical advice and assistance in design details related to fit, form, and function.
- Support the quotation and labor routing process for product development requests, providing input on design feasibility and resource requirements.
- Contribute to all aspects of custom product development, including design, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
- Advise and specify technical design requirements for electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical components, ensuring proper component selection and integration into the overall system.
- Provide guidance to the manufacturing team on production and testing methods for electronic and mechanical products.
- Ensure that all design and development activities comply with relevant standards and approvals, both domestically and internationally, as required.
- Assist in the procurement of parts, as well as the assembly, testing, and documentation of prototypes.
- Support the design and construction of test fixtures for production, ensuring efficient and accurate testing processes.
- Execute all product development activities within the ISO9001 certified quality system of the organization.
Qualifications:
- BSEE or two-year technical degree with electronic circuit design/engineering experience
