Job Overview: 
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide technical support, maintenance, and repair services for our client food automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer service. This is a direct hire position based out of Lake Forest, IL and will involve travel;. 

Pay: $35-40/hr

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair food automation equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address complex technical problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service activities.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in food automation equipment.
  • Travel to customer locations as required to perform service duties.
  • Travel 60 to 70% mostly domestic with International travel on occasion

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role, preferably in the automation or food processing industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport with the ability to travel frequently.
