Electro-mechanical Technician
Job Description
- 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
- 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical production equipment
- Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled equipment and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Install, align, and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, HVAC equipment, and other plant machinery
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Maintain instrumentation and calibration equipment
- Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Fabricate or modify machine components using basic welding and fabrication techniques
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment while following company safety procedures
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical degree, certificate, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Strong PLC troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting
- Willingness to work scheduled and emergency overtime as needed
- Industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Preventive maintenance experience
- Vocational or technical training in electrical maintenance
- Experience supporting manufacturing equipment and production operations
