Pay Rate: $83K - $89,400K
Position Overview:
The Electro-mechanical Specialist will be responsible for maintaining all plant and production electrical and control systems, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and network subsystems. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and documenting equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of all electrical and control systems, including device hardware and software.
- Assist mechanics and other electro-mechanics in troubleshooting and repairing electrical or control-related failures.
- Train and coordinate activities of electro-mechanics across all shifts.
- Occasionally work remotely to assist with equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is in production.
- Perform corrective, preventive, or scheduled repairs during equipment downtime in accordance with company and vendor specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, working alone or with a mechanic to quickly return the equipment to production.
- Complete tasks in compliance with government regulations, safety standards, GMP, and company programs.
- Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on batching and continuous process control systems, networks, drives (AC/DC and servo), pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
- Maintain plant systems for steam, hot and chilled water, pneumatic air, electrical power, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control.
- Keep accurate work records in the company’s work order and job assignment system.
- Maintain and improve product quality, legality, and safety, ensuring a clean and tidy work area at all times and reporting any suspicious activity immediately.
- May travel to purchase parts, attend training, or perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred, or equivalent high school/military and practical experience in a related field.
- Experience with full machine and electrical control system installation.
- Strong knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software, and preventative maintenance software is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system design documents, including P&ID, single line drawings, loop drawings, and vendor documents.
- Working knowledge of control system projects, including machine layouts, control drawings, and interconnection diagrams.
- Experience with A/B-Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming and configurations.
- Proficiency in performing basic and advanced math, converting units of measurement, and interpreting graphs and diagrams.
- Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
- Proficient in reading work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions, and able to complete maintenance reports accurately.
