Job Description
Location: Northlake, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $28-33/hr. based on experience
Job Duties:
- Supports day-to-day operations of machines, equipment, and facility areas.
- Performs preventive maintenance and provides technical assistance for reliability issues.
- Assists with production equipment upgrades, rebuilds, and repairs components/systems using various tools and equipment.
- Advanced Electro-Mechanical Technician will serve as backup.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, OSHA safety standards, and company safety guidelines.
- Provide mechanical and electrical support for routine and preventive maintenance.
- Assist the shift maintenance team with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Support continuous improvement in areas like PLC programming, variable speed drives, and mechanical/electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair production machine equipment and systems.
- Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance efforts for equipment reliability.
- Maintain maintenance laptop programs and files.
- Manage Cognex vision system maintenance.
- Make electrical connections for devices and transfer electronic files (PLC, motor drives, Fanuc robotics, etc.).
- Interpret and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
- Use electronic test equipment (Multimeter, Oscilloscope, etc.) for troubleshooting.
- Support sanitation, housekeeping standards, and the introduction of new technology.
- Display strong teamwork, communication, and positive hands-on approach.
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report food/product safety issues immediately to a supervisor or manager.
- Five years of Industrial Maintenance experience preferred.
- Certificate in Industrial Maintenance or military equivalent.
- Broad experience with electrical, mechanical systems, PLCs, pneumatic systems, HVAC, compressors, extrusion, assembly equipment, and more
- AAS in Electronics or equivalent preferred.
- PLC programming experience is a plus
- Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (MP2) beneficial.
