Location: Carol Stream, IL
Hourly Rate: $24-$28 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview:
The Electrical Assembler is primarily responsible for the electrical and mechanical assembly of electrical control panels and cabinets. This role involves point-to-point wiring, machine wiring, and assisting in machine troubleshooting and start-up according to electrical schematics, machine drawings, and engineering specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and wire electrical control panels using point-to-point wiring.
Perform machine wiring based on machine drawings and electrical schematics.
Execute mechanical tasks such as attaching enclosures to machines, punching holes in cabinets, drilling and tapping holes in machine conveyors, and bending conduit piping.
Assist electrical engineers with machine electrical systems pre-functional testing and start-ups.
Maintain accurate weekly timesheets documenting work completed.
Participate in Kaizen events targeting improvement activities.
Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
Adhere to all workplace safety standards.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Occasionally work under supervision in various areas of production in response to production demands.
Travel to customer sites for machine start-ups as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associates degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology is a plus.
10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry.
6+ years of hands-on experience in electrical control panel building.
6+ years of experience with power and hand tools (e.g., wire cutters, crimpers, soldering irons) and fabrication machinery (e.g., drill press, lathe, grinder), and pneumatic tools.
Previous experience as a temporary contractor working in panel building at our facility is preferred.
Previous experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, gantry cranes, etc.
Electrical licensing is a plus.
Must have a valid Illinois driver's license.
Fluency with Windows Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
