Job Summary: 
  • We are seeking a highly motivated Controls Technician to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our plant operations. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and programmatic issues within our automated systems. You will also play a key role in developing preventative and predictive maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Job Duties:
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and quality procedures
  • Analyze and troubleshoot plant equipment problems
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance plans
  • Manage parts and repairs for efficient equipment upkeep
  • Design and integrate improvements to automated quality inspection systems
  • Provide training to staff on controls systems and maintenance procedures
  • Assist the team with troubleshooting and repairs via phone and on-site support
  • Work collaboratively with operations leadership on new equipment installation and commissioning
  • Create training materials and work instructions for consistent best practices
  • Travel to other plants as needed to provide project support
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or Computer Technology (or 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience)
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming (experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Wonderware a plus)
  • Experience with Beckhoff data acquisition systems and network integration
  • Familiarity with HMI touchscreen applications and programming
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in using computers and troubleshooting software
