This position is responsible for the creation of baseline drawings for engineering designs in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation platform.  Applications are predominantly related to civil engineering fields.  This position is responsible for understanding and completing drawings in client specifications.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Applying knowledge of engineering principles and practices in areas of project assignments with little to no supervision or assistance from other engineers and managers
  • Providing input to Project Managers, Directors, Sr. Directors, Vice Presidents and the Business Unit Leader concerning potential process and design improvements related to engineering design and technology
  • Assisting in preparing proposals for the business unit by estimating engineering hours as an engineering discipline lead

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor in Engineering 
  • Registration as a professional engineer is preferred
  • Minimum of 4+ years of work experience with at least 3 years of work experience in the Electric industry or a related industry. At least 3 years of the work experience must be at an Electric operating company or at an engineering consulting firm
  • Substation design and engineering experience is preferred. This includes plans, sections and details, auxiliary systems, grounding, one lines, three lines, relay wiring, schematics, equipment specifications, calculations and bills of material.
