- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary engineering team through all phases of the product development lifecycle.
- Oversee concept design, prototype builds, testing, and production release within a Stage-Gate process.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely, cost-effective completion.
- Foster collaboration between design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
- Guide design activities to meet industry standards and internal quality, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
- Support the development and execution of validation and test plans (including DFMEA/PFMEA).
- Identify and mitigate technical and project risks.
- Partner with purchasing and external vendors to develop cost-effective, high-quality design solutions.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in design processes, tools, and methods.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for engineering staff.
- Participate in industry groups or standards committees to remain current with emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in electrical product design and development.
- Proven background leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams and managing complex technical projects.
- Experience with medium or high-voltage electrical power systems.
- Strong working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, and Stage-Gate processes.
- Familiarity with molded components, mechanical assemblies, sensors, and power system components.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
- Competitive annual base salary (range: $110K–$160K, commensurate with experience)
