Overview 
The Electrical Engineering Manager oversees a team of electrical engineers focused on designing, developing, and programming innovative solutions for both existing and new systems. This role includes creating new automation design criteria and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicate job expectations, provide training and development, and coach the Electrical Engineering staff to meet company objectives in project management, new product development, and continuous improvement of existing product lines.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide electrical engineering guidance and technical support for reviews, strategic plans, and projects.
  • Create unit and development cost estimations and identify affordable and reliable material sources.
  • Support the Electrical Engineering Supervisor in assigning department personnel to projects.
  • Ensure timely product management and development by collaborating with other departments to estimate accurate schedules and solve problems efficiently.
  • Establish technical standards for reviews, documentation, and designs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations departments to review and monitor quality, process improvements, and new product development.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Stay current on codes and requirements; participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations.
  • Maintain training and development standards for the entire department.
  • Drive innovation and new design concepts using new technology.
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Engineering team to develop necessary protocols for finished products while maintaining realistic design criteria manageable by both departments.
