Sterling Engineering is partnering with a client seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer-MEP to join their collaborative team. Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202
 
 Compensation: $110-$150k (based on experience

Summary: Plan and design the electrical scope for a variety of multi-disciplinary building projects, including renovations, expansions, and new multi-story constructions. Project focus will primarily be within the healthcare and life science industries, with additional opportunities in corporate, parking garage, municipal, and community-based projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptually develop electrical designs for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Provide electrical engineering support to project managers throughout the design process.
  • Direct the work of junior engineers and designers on assigned projects.
  • Attend and participate in client meetings and design review sessions.
  • Develop detailed construction documents and design specifications.
  • Conduct on-site construction administration and site inspection visits to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Effectively coordinate and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary project team.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related field) from an accredited institution.
  • A Professional Engineering (PE) License is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing comprehensive construction documents using discipline-specific software (e.g., Revit and electrical modeling software).
  • Proven ability to develop high-quality construction document sets encompassing lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
