Electrical Engineer | Mechatronics & Motion Control
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, integration, and technical implementation of advanced mechatronic and motion control systems. This role works closely with engineering, sales, and customers to develop innovative automation solutions across a diverse range of applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers passionate about automation, robotics, motion systems, and electrical system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers for electrical motion control products including motors, drives, controllers, and robotic systems
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams on system architecture, product design, component selection, and technical reviews
- Test, validate, and qualify motors, drives, motion controllers, and third-party components
- Perform motor tuning and system optimization to meet customer performance requirements
- Develop wiring schematics, cable layouts, and electrical documentation for motion systems
- Support automation and configuration tools by supplying electrical product data and assisting with testing and debugging
- Size and select mechatronic systems including:
- Single & multi-axis motion systems
- Rotary tables
- AC servo, linear, torque, and stepper motors
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering (controls focus)
- Experience or strong interest in motion control, automation, robotics, or mechatronics systems
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and instrumentation
- Knowledge of electric motors including:
- AC servo motors
- Linear motors
- Torque motors
- Stepper motors
- Understanding of closed-loop control systems, servo tuning, and system sizing
- Programming experience with motion controllers or related languages (C++, C#, Python)
- Experience with multi-axis motion control and industrial communication protocols:
- EtherCAT
- EtherNet/IP
- Modbus
