Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Location: West Columbia, SC
Hire Type: Full-time, Direct-Hire
Pay: 70K - 75K

- Design and develop electrical systems for critical power applications
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and production teams
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Create documentation including BOMs, O&M manuals, and test plans
- Participate in functional testing and troubleshooting
- Ensure designs meet industry standards (UL, etc.)
- Assist in prototyping and analyzing performance results
- Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement
- Manage engineering change control and project timelines
- Follow safety protocols and promote electrical safety across the company
- Some travel or after-hours work may be required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
- 4–7 years of electrical design experience (switchgear, power systems preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of UL standards (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, etc.)
- Ability to read and create electrical diagrams and troubleshoot issues
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
