Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Germantown, WI
Job Type: Full-time
Target PayRate: $75K-$95K DOE
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer specializing in controls design, you will be responsible for designing and sustaining engineering of controls for our Systems loading dock equipment. Your role will involve creating custom controls, designing new controls for new and existing products, and ensuring the smooth operation of our control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of our company products and the order process.
- Conceptualize, prototype, test, and refine designs for control systems.
- Select and test materials and components suitable for the products.
- Respond to customer requests for specific products or designs.
- Apply engineering principles and concepts to the design process of various products.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to design product models of control boxes.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and make necessary redesigns.
- Create production drawings and wiring schematics using AutoCAD.
- Utilize our MRP system (TCM) to create bill of materials and routings.
- Complete both routine and detailed tasks, as well as broad tasks that require creativity.
- Work independently, manage and track special projects.
- Utilize engineering software and standard applications such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing, email, and internet tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 1 year of related experience in designing or manufacturing industrial controls.
- Strong working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP software and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and project management tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- UL 508A MTR exam certification is a plus or willingness to work towards achieving it.
