Electrical Designer
Job Description
Location: Hartland, WI
- Design electrical control systems according to engineering standards, codes, and customer requirements.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), HMI (Human Machine Interface), communication devices, and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
- Interpret customer specifications and sales agreements.
- Collaborate with customers and vendors on equipment design.
- Ensure conformance to electrical codes and company quality standards.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Assist in selecting electrical components for projects.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal departments (Mechanical Engineering) to address and resolve technical challenges.
- Associate degree in Electrical Design or Engineering Technology (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in designing electrical control systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for commissioning (occasional) and work occasional weekends.
