Job Summary:

Job Duties:
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and other control devices.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, technical reports, and system testing, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage capital projects from inception to commissioning, ensuring timely completion within budget and schedule.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to maintenance and operational staff.
  • Implement systematic project management approaches and promote continuous improvement tools.
  • Research and implement new control designs and hardware, testing ideas for improvements and sharing best practices.
  • Generate engineering solutions to address repetitive failures and operational inefficiencies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical or controls-related failures across multiple locations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in maintenance and/or project management in the food engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, control system projects, and programming design using software packages like Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
  • Knowledge of asset care, maintenance management, personnel safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in applying engineering knowledge cross-functionally to support new food development and commercialization.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally with valid credentials.
