Job Description

Title: Electrical Controls Designer 

Pay Range: $95k - $115k 

Work Type: Hybrid Schedule 

Location: Mt Pleasant, WI 

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Job Duties:
  • Develop electrical control system designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Prepare and update electrical control diagrams and panel layouts in adherence to industry standards.
  • Design and configure electrical panels, control boards, and system components to ensure seamless integration within manufacturing environments.
  • Ensure all system components comply with safety regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, UL) and industry standards.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and commissioning of electrical control systems to guarantee functionality and safety.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during production and implementation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and automation engineers to develop and implement control solutions.
  • Communicate design specifications and updates to the production team to ensure smooth system integration.
  • Maintain detailed design documentation, including wiring diagrams, parts lists, and system configurations using SolidWorks Electrical CAD.
  • Prepare as-built drawings and operational manuals for finalized systems.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in electrical controls design, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical or similar CAD software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug electrical control systems effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
