EHS Specialist
Job Description
Salary: $85k/yr
- Executes improvements to existing site safety and environmental programs under
the direction of the regional Sr. Regulatory Compliance and Safety Manager – N.A. - Oversees incident reporting database and ensure all incidents are thoroughly investigated, documented and corrective actions are managed to completion.
- Conducts and oversees site environmental (SWPPP, SPCC, Tier II, RCRA (Regulated Waste) inspections, testing, shipments, reporting and other requirements.
- Completes routine inspections, reports and training programs and maintain required records.
- Lead and train employees on risk assessment techniques (JSA, Ergonomic Assessments, New or Altered equipment evaluations).
- Develops localized procedures for site-specific safety requirements.
- Leads and coordinates 3rd Party and Internal Audits regarding EH&S.
- Drives activity(s) to support site’s annual safety goals
- Builds trust and rapport with site personnel and provide high level of service to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Occupational Safety & Health or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Presentation Skills to enable effective training and communication to all levels at site.
- Proven work experience leading teams to execute improvement projects.
- Proficient in navigating OSHA, EPA, and other key regulations.
