EHS Manager
Job Description
- Acts as the Facility’s Emergency Coordinator, ensuring readiness for potential incidents
- Oversee incident investigations and leads response teams for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) events
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all relevant state, county, and local regulations
- Conducts authorized safety training, including new hire orientation, OSHA compliance, CPR, and AED certification
- Monitors daily operations to promote and maintain safe working conditions
- Leads the Facility’s Safety Committee to foster a proactive safety culture
- Performs safety and environmental audits and inspections to identify and address hazards
- Implements corrective measures based on findings from audits and investigations
- Conducts routine Job Safety Analyses to assess workplace risks
- Maintains and updates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and related safety manuals
- Oversees preventive maintenance scheduling to enhance workplace safety and compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment with a focus on EHS
- Familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations
- Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- Preferred safety certifications such as CSP, ASP, or equivalent
- Training and certifications in OSHA 10/30-hour, RCRA, HAZWOPER, HAZWASTE, DOT 181, and Industrial Hygiene coursework (CIH preferred)
