EHS Coordinator
Job Description
Salary: $75k-$85k/yr
- Accountable for compliance with EHS programs, including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/45001, and with all government agencies and related regulations.
- Responsible for completing (or overseeing completion) of required regulatory reports
- Responsible to guide and promote safe work performance by developing proactive EHS systems, policies, and procedures.
- Generate EHS performance metrics to measure performance progress and to evaluate EHS programs effectiveness.
- Accountable to conduct or arrange to have conducted training for all employees.
- Report, monitor, and assist in correcting environmental, health and safety problems/issues.
- Lead efforts to ensure that key EHS operational controls are in place and that action items are resolved on a timely basis.
- Advice and assist leaders and other company EHS professionals on EHS matters, including fact/data gathering, problem identification/resolution, offering objective assistance and guidance on EHS issues.
Qualifications:
- Associate / Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety Programs or equivalent
- 3 years minimum of related work experience in manufacturing industry
- Critical thinking skills to evaluate root causes and implement solutions
- Ability to understand regulatory/compliance obligations
- Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office suite
- Knowledgeable of ISO 14001 / 45001 requirements and standards.
