- Research and analyze technical sources like rail equipment manuals and manufacturer catalogs for accurate design implementation.
- Develop preliminary 2D and 3D designs, incorporating feedback from engineering teams for enhancements.
- Calculate dimensions, weight limits, and material requirements for rail equipment.
- Iterate designs to improve functionality and resolve any issues identified during the drafting process.
- Finalize designs by verifying dimensions, materials, and structural integrity
- Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or relevant field.
- Minimum of 1 years experience in CAD drafting or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software, preferably with expertise in tools used in rail equipment design.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software.
