Title: Discipline Manager
Location: Remote - USA
Hire Type: Direct hire
Compensation: 104-165K

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • People Leadership of Direct Reports
  • Provide transparent and timely performance feedback
  • Coordinate training and development
  • Mentor and coach
  • Conduct Career Development Discussions
  • Project Execution
  • Ensure the quality completion of projects
  • Conduct random quality audits
  • Ensure involvement in high profile projects
  • Provide technical guidance as needed in coordination with technical leads
  • Serve as a resource for invoicing questions
  • Provide resource risk mitigation planning
  • Review, approve, and audit invoices as needed
  • Coordinate resource allocation efficiency and performance
  • Provide project guidance as needed to drive efficiency and quality
  • Team Performance/Fiduciary Tracking and Reporting
  • Track and report on utilization, allowable vs. actual hours, internal/external OTD, and project performance
  • Manage budgetary objectives and adjust based on analysis
  • Track individual KPIs
  • Maintain Relationships with current clients, vendors, and agencies
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients (internal and external)
  • Ensure that we provide excellent customer service (4 is not a 5)
  • Organically grow project base with existing clients
  • Anticipate changes in workload based on client conversations and feedback
 
Required Education & Experience:
  • Engineering Discipline Manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree BS in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license or currently in the process of obtaining licensure
  • Drafting/Design Discipline Manager
  • CADD Certification and strong understanding of all operating CAD platforms
  • PMO Discipline Manager
  • PMP Certificate
  • Prior experience effectively forecasting resource needs
  • Prior experience with approval of sub-contractor and project vendor invoices.
 
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Understanding of Consulting KPIs and Business Acumen
  • Consulting background and knowledge of consulting practices and KPIs
  • Entrepreneur’s mindset, the drive to get it done at all costs, and desire to be innovative and creative
  • Be innovative and forward-thinking to drive change, quality, and efficiency within the company
  • Strong technical knowledge of Natural Gas Design and related Codes as well as the discipline you lead
