Job Description

Our client is a smaller, yet high-performing manufacturing company based in Chicago, specializing in innovative sound technology products. With a strong foundation and a tenured workforce, the company is poised for growth, including the addition of new product lines in the near future. They are currently seeking a Quality Director to lead their experienced team of inspectors and help guide the organization through its next phase of expansion. Salary for the role is around 100-120k.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality inspection team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the Corrective Action Report (CAR) process, ensuring timely resolution and follow-through
  • Act as the primary liaison with customers on quality-related concerns, providing timely and professional communication
  • Maintain and improve internal quality documentation systems and ensure audit readiness
  • Collaborate with an external quality consultant to align with best practices and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate and prepare for internal and external quality audits, driving compliance and system improvements
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Willingness to be on-site in their Chicago facility
