Job Summary:
  • The Director of Engineering oversees maintenance, reliability, and engineering functions at a greenfield plant in New York. This role ensures the facility achieves and sustains optimal operational efficiency, with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability. Additionally, the Director provides leadership, coaching, and feedback to maintenance and reliability teams to meet business objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Duties:
  • Develop robust maintenance and engineering programs, including equipment overhaul strategies and spare parts management.
  • Guide the implementation of CMMS and drive strategic projects to increase plant reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Develop technical experts responsible for critical plant areas.
  • Lead key capital projects and provide technical support to operations and quality.
  • Foster collaboration and ownership across teams to build a World Class Factory.
  • Balance short-term goals with long-term objectives and represent organizational values to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute safety programs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of Engineering or Plant Management experience, preferably in a remote location leadership role.
  • Dairy, bottling, or brewing experience required; aseptic processing experience preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in TPM, LEAN principles, and implementing new technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve goals with integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computerized information systems and knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
