Job Description
Location: Chicago, IL 60604 Oor Houston, Texas (hybrid work schedule)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $150-$175k (boe)
- Develop and implement environmental policies for compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure equipment and processes meet environmental standards.
- Oversee environmental audits at company locations, identifying potential vulnerabilities.
- Lead the company’s Responsible Care Program, ensuring compliance and maintaining partnership status.
- Prepare and lead regulatory audits related to hazardous waste, air emissions, and wastewater discharges.
- Supervise a team including Senior Environmental Engineer, Senior Environmental Compliance Specialists, and Regional Environmental Manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in environmental compliance.
- Experience in developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership and auditing skills, with the ability to oversee multiple locations.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, tolerate confined spaces, and work at heights.
- Willingness to travel as needed and wear safety equipment.
