Job Summary:
We are seeking a Designer II – Distribution to support industrial meter set and regulating facility design projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipeline design, BOM preparation, and conducting baseline and design reviews for medium-complexity distribution projects. This role requires strong technical skills in CAD software and a solid understanding of pipe specifications, design limitations, and regional design requirements.
Job Duties:
• Design industrial meter sets and regulating facilities for distribution projects.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure accuracy in material selection.
• Conduct baseline and design reviews for medium-complexity projects, including main installation/replacement.
• Analyze soil bore logs and geotechnical reports to incorporate relevant data into designs.
• Develop detailed cross-sections and profiles for distribution system layouts.
• Ensure compliance with Design requirements.
• Apply knowledge of pipe specifications and design limitations to create safe and efficient designs.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Design and Drafting Technology.
• Experience: Prior experience in pipeline or utility distribution design preferred.
• Proficiency in CADWorx or similar 3D modeling software.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD for drafting and design.
