Summary: We seek a highly motivated and experienced Demand Planning Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the master manufacturing production plan to satisfy customer demand while maintaining minimum effective inventory levels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the production plan aligns with plant capacity and sales forecasts.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a rolling 3-6-month Master Production Plan for purchased and manufactured parts, considering production capacity, sales forecasts, customer ship dates, and new product development. Communicate schedules monthly.
  • Facilitate communication among internal, external, and global teams to analyze and identify risks associated with the master production plan, including manufacturing lead times.
  • Perform supply-demand analysis each quarter, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months.
  • Make delivery commitments on MTO (Made to Order) products, verifying material availability and capacity.
  • Set inventory targets and manage production using an MRP system to achieve targeted inventory levels, while optimizing efficiencies and minimizing inventory investment.
  • Ensure coordination with Planners to execute the Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Monitor actual versus planned production and identify gaps, driving solutions to align production with the requested schedule.
  • Review sales forecasts with the plant and sales group on a monthly basis, suggesting modifications based on current or historical demand.
  • Report key metrics to plant leaders, including project progress and associated barriers.
  • Support projects and production meetings to review dispatch reports and performance against the schedule, inventory strategy, and supply plans. Update the Master Production Plan as needed.
  • Monitor on-time performance and identify root causes for past due orders, implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Materials, and Operations to schedule the production of large custom projects, ensuring complete and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Proactively communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve issues that may impact shipping schedules.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field.
  • Minimally 5+ years of experience in purchasing and planning within a manufacturing environment 
  • Minimally 2+ years experience managing direct reports
