Job Description
Title: Data Scientist Manager/Architect
Location: Hybrid, 3-days per week on-site in Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Duration and hire type: Direct Hire
Seeking an accomplished Data Scientist to lead a highly collaborative data science team. This individual will help facilitate continuous exchange and vetting of ideas between Executive Staff, subject matter experts, the data science team, and others throughout the organization. The ideal candidate have strong experience in deep learning and full life cycle data science, from beginning to implementation. This should include collecting, organizing, mining, and deeply analyzing data to draw conclusions and develop insights that enable better decision-making and operational effectiveness.
This position will work with a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, SQL, R, Python Computer Vision, and deep learning to design, develop and distribute data solutions.
Major Responsibilities:
• Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers in a way that can be easily understood by business counterparts.
• Design and build new data set processes for modeling, data mining, and production purposes.
• Develop and productionize working prototypes, proof of concepts, algorithms, predictive models, and custom analysis.
• Models and analyzes complex problems, discovering insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions
• Develop strategies around data cleaning, data structure, and data tagging
• Research, Development, Learning
• Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends
• Determine new innovative ways to improve data and search quality, and predictive capabilities
Qualifications & Experience:
• MS or PhD (preferred) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics with related experience
• 1+ years of experience in developing, crafting or using any deep learning frameworks
• Python programming; Other languages, such as R, preferred
• SQL scripting and database knowledge
• Proficiency in computer vision, image/video/signal processing, machine learning, feature extraction, statistical analysis, and classification.
• Solid technical foundation in CPU and GPU architectures, networking, numeric libraries, modular software design
• Initiative, proactive thinking, problem and situational analysis, results oriented
• Familiarity with commercial production of research and modeling
