Tool Quotation Coordinator
Job Description
Location: Wheeling, IL
Salary: $50-60K

- Analyze customer blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to prepare accurate tooling quotes.
- Communicate with customers to provide technical support, clarify requirements, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Develop manufacturing processes and define tooling strategies based on customer specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to validate tooling concepts and ensure feasibility.
- Work with purchasing to generate purchase orders for required materials and components.
- Create detailed documentation including process routings and production-ready prints.
- Maintain current knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling standards.
- Support customer satisfaction and on-time delivery by ensuring accuracy and timeliness in quoting.
- 3+ years of experience in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, materials, and GD&T.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD and/or CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
- Experience in estimating or quoting within a manufacturing or tooling environment.
- Familiarity with ERP or quoting software.
