Cost Accountant
Job Description
Pay Rate: $30.00–$34.00/hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hire Type: Contract (6 months, possible extension)
- Maintain and analyze inventory and cost data
- Monitor production costs, labor, and overhead
- Support month-end close and journal entries
- Perform variance analysis and identify cost savings opportunities
- Partner with operations on budgeting and forecasting
- Assist with inventory valuation and reporting accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Strong Excel and ERP system experience
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
