Sterling Engineering is working with a mid-sized manufacturing company on bringing in a Cost Accountant to join their team. This will be a direct hire position with a base between 75-90k.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Accounting/Finance
- At least 2 years of Cost Accounting experience
- Ability to commute to North Chicagoland Suburbs
- Experience with some form of ERP system
- Good Excel skills
Job Overview
- Reviewing and maintaining the balance sheets and general ledger
- Establishing the standard costs of services or products
- Updating the standard costs of products and services based on the associated expenses
- Analyzing organisational data and assessing rates of labour, depreciation and overhead to recommend policy amendments that will improve numbers
- Preparing monthly or quarterly reports for senior management based on inventory reserve analyses
