Title: Corporate Counsel-Contracts
Location: Glendale Heights, IL 60139

Job Summary:
- This position primarily performs various legal tasks, including contract review and negotiation.
- Responsibilities include assisting in reviewing legal documents, including notices, contracts, and correspondence, and accurately managing the calendar of corresponding due dates/deadlines.
- Counsels, coordinates and collects information for existing legal projects efficiently.
- Develops a thorough understanding of all aspects of the legal department’s work and its organizational context.
- Prepares legal documents, drafts contracts, reviews forms, and negotiates agreements.
- Provides detailed contract analysis and feedback to managers, with recommendations for negotiation and execution.
- Trains managers in contract review practices, key contract concepts, and negotiation practices.
- Reviews all existing contracts with consulting firms to determine and evaluate continuity.
- Administers and coordinates contract management of group companies
- Performs legal research supporting General Counsel on various legal issues.
- Supports the legal specialist in tracking and sending notifications for general legal deadlines (renewals, terminations, deliverable dates).
- Handles special projects, as requested by General Counsel, in areas such as compliance, internal controls, risk mitigation, and training development.
- Works with non-citizen employees and General Affairs to assist them with various needs.
- Identifies hidden legal risks of all entities and takes action in advance to reduce liability and mitigate potential legal problems involving the companies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and at least two (2) years of work experience at a law firm or in-house.
- License active and in good standing to practice law in the state of Illinois
