Controls Technician:

Pay Range $30-$40 per hour based on experience.
Contract to hire - 1st shift

Are you passionate about building cutting-edge automation systems and robotic cells? Are you skilled in assembling, wiring, and debugging mechanical and electrical components? We are currently seeking a highly experienced Automation Technician to join our team and contribute to the creation of custom automation solutions and large factory automation projects.

Job Description: Under general direction, the Automation Technician will play a crucial role in the build, wiring, plumbing, and debugging of mechanical and electrical components for various automation systems. You will be responsible for assembling custom automation systems, robotic cells, and assisting in the completion of large-scale factory automation projects.


Job Duties:

Read, interpret, and follow assembly drawings to identify component parts and ensure the correct build sequence.
Assemble machines or multi-systems according to drawings and/or verbal instructions.
Conduct testing and fit and function tests on assembled parts to ensure their proper functioning.
Collaborate with the team to finalize the assembly of large production systems.
Work alongside project managers, customers, designers, leads, and programmers to resolve technical issues and deliver fully functional systems to the customer.
Assist in the teardown and installation of equipment when necessary.
Be prepared for occasional travel (approximately 0-20%) to support project requirements.
Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical and electrical build or maintenance on production machinery.
Associate Technical Degree or relevant experience in an automation/manufacturing environment is preferred.
A positive attitude with a strong technical aptitude or background is required.
Knowledge of mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, schematics, pneumatics, and general assembly procedures is beneficial.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software is preferred.
Tools: A minimum set of basic hand tools is required for this role.
