Responsibilities:
• Responsible for safe work habits and ensuring that all equipment operates in a safe manner.
• Leads large projects by defining and issuing work to assigned team members or runs multiple small projects with minimal direction
• Creates all project documents according to internal processes to ensure that designs meet customer expectations
• Maintains a progress schedule that meets project milestones
• Provides documentation and support to the field team
• Creates Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs
• Performs on-site commissioning
• Performs system validation according to scope documentation and project requirements
• Directs assigned team in the field and assigns priorities consistent with project needs; reports progress to project and engineering management
• Ensures that all project checklists and electronic documents created by the project team are complete and archived
• Provides input to the project lessons learned process
• Reviews customer specifications and scope documentation for quotation and clarification
• Performs process checks and design reviews
• Provides back-up for Engineering Managers
• Follows engineering standards
• Travels up to 30%
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field, or relevant Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of related experience
• Experience with industrial HMI and SCADA systems, Allen-Bradley controls/controllers an PLCs
• In-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems, including HMI, Allen-Bradley controls/controllers, Siemens PLCs and Schneider PLCs
• Proficient with 2D drafting software like Draft Sight
• Ability to lead a team and accomplish project goals effectively
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team-oriented and collaborative
• Creative-thinking and problem-solving skills
