Job Description

We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and optimization of our controls systems. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and programming control architectures for large, multi-machine systems. You will be responsible for programming PLCs, HMIs, and Robots, including cam-operated machines and indexing machines with a high count of servo axes. Additionally, you will guide electricians on wiring and codes, perform debug and function verification on our production floor, and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise by traveling both domestically and internationally to assist in machine re-commissioning at customer sites. You will actively contribute to Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) processes and work closely with our customers to ensure successful project completion. Collaboration with fellow engineers to improve standards and processes will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop architecture of controls system for large, multi-machine systems.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and Robots for cam-operated machines and indexing machines with a high count of servo axes.
  • Guide electricians on wiring and codes to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Perform debug and function verification on our production floor.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to ensure proper system functionality.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to assist in machine re-commissioning at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with customers during Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to ensure successful project completion.
  • Contribute to the improvement of standards and processes alongside fellow engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred college degree in electrical engineering, engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Six (6) years of automation experience.
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and Servo Control.
