Job Summary: The Controls Engineer develops the electrical design for automated equipment according to the customer and internal specifications, as well as develops and programs automated equipment hardware and software.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of controls architecture for small to medium-sized machines.
- Program control, robots, and vision systems for cam, servo, and air-operated stations, along with test and electrical devices.
- Ensure the electrical design and software architecture is functional, robust, and cost-effective.
- Innovate and use good judgment to incorporate company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Research and specify appropriate purchased and preferred components.
- Drive to project OTD and budget performance as main role key performance indicators.
- Create electrical wiring schematics, flow diagrams, panel layouts, bill of materials, organize release packages, and update schematics.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or capital equipment engineering preferably in automation
- Strong electrical knowledge and PLC programming skills are required.
- Robotics, Synchronous, and A-synchronous general knowledge are a plus.
