Job Summary: As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of custom automation solutions for our clients. This position offers a dynamic and challenging work environment, where you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects from concepting to installation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize your creativity to apply current technology to address unique manufacturing challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the controls design process from inception to on-site installation and end-user training
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the entire development process
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant shipment of designed machines
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including end-user instructions
- Travel to customer sites to oversee installation, provide training, and troubleshoot issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in a similar field or role
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for problem-solving
- Proficiency in research, reading, and following instructions
- Solid understanding of electrical theory
- Knowledge of software development and binary logic
- Willingness to travel up to 20% within the United States and internationally
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications (for experienced candidates):
- Experience in project leadership and customer relations
- Hardware design experience, preferably using AutoCAD Electrical
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards
- In-depth understanding of one or more of the following technologies:
- Fanuc robot
- Siemens S7-1500
- Rockwell Logix 5000
- Industrial Vision Systems
