Hire Type: Direct Hire - $105-$115k depending on experience
Job Summary:
- The Plant Controller will plan, implement, manage and control all financial related activities of the corporation. Shared responsibility over accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, deal analysis and negotiations, insurance management, business risk mitigation and placement of private and institutional financing. The Controller will play a supporting role in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial goals. This person will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively while being a positive reflection of corporate values.
Job Duties:
- Manage and execute processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation and reporting to the Company
- Provide timely and accurate financial statements, analysis of financial statements, budgets, financial trends and forecasts
- Provide management with education and advice on the financial implications of business activities
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures
- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
- Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action
- Take a hands-on role in developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system
- Manage and take a hands-on role in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
- Partner with finance leader to prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
- Partner with BU leadership and provide appropriate counsel and direction for financial decisions to help drive results, improve profitability and EBIDTA; facilitates a spirit of cooperation with BU partners
- Oversees and holds team accountable for researching and resolving issues by analyzing data and metrics; investigates financial issues and makes recommendations and follows through successful execution
- Responsible for managing financial staff by recruiting, orienting, and training employees; communicates job expectations, plans and monitors job performance and results through coaching and performance management of the team
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge

Qualifications:
- EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
- 5-7 years experience in accounting
- REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTITUDES:
- Experience supporting manufacturing and/or medical device business desired
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly at all levels of the organization (face-to-face, verbal, written)
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis; impeccable analytical skills
- Understands and can translate financial needs and terms with BU partners to effectively manage and drive results
