Job Summary:
- The Reliability/Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for enhancing manufacturing processes, ensuring safety and reliability standards are met. They develop best practices, propose equipment modifications, and oversee continuous improvement activities. This role leads and mentors teams to identify opportunities for efficiency, implement change, and achieve operational excellence. They track and report on various performance metrics, including safety, environmental compliance, and equipment effectiveness. Additionally, they implement and refine the Maintenance and Reliability framework, utilizing data from various systems. The Engineer also leads critical analysis processes and identifies opportunities for process improvements to reduce costs and enhance performance. They provide expert technical guidance and utilize best engineering practices to achieve quality output.
Job Duties:
- Lead Asset Management efforts, improve asset management plan, and conduct PM Program reviews.
- Collaborate with production and support personnel to optimize processes and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Utilize engineering principles and data analysis to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce variations in parameters.
- Work with the Maintenance department on line trials and facilitate Criticality Analyses for efficient resource allocation.
- Implement Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes through FMEA on critical equipment.
- Review and optimize maintenance programs for routine, predictive, and condition-based practices.
- Identify and implement best practice RCM processes to improve facility maintenance operations.
- Lead improvement efforts through Kaizen Events and continuous improvement processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and best practices.
- Analyze and optimize Work Order Management using world-class standards.
- Provide expertise in performance metrics and CMMS at the account level.
- Perform other necessary duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading Continuous Improvement (Lean/SixSigma) in a manufacturing facility.
- CMMS platform experience required, along with significant Maintenance program experience.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations, GMP, BRC/SQF, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred; Green Belt (minimum).
- CMRP certification strongly preferred.
- Ability to create and interpret process diagrams and maintenance data.
- Proficient in writing reports and presentations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge including Pivot tables and formulas.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, PLC platforms, HMI, etc.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Technical understanding and interpersonal, leadership, and self-management skills.
- Proactive and able to work independently with multiple deadlines.
- Customer-focused and problem-solving orientation.
